Packing bags for travel poses many questions. Not least what to take and what not to take? Certainly the one thing you leave at home will, without doubt, be the very thing you will end up needing the most while away.
If you are applying for an International Comprehensive travel plan or Annual Multi Trip travel plan you must tell us if you or anyone in your travelling party has a high risk existing medical condition or requires cover for any other existing medical condition other than those automatically covered.
If you are applying for an Australian Comprehensive travel plan you must tell us if you or anyone in your travelling party requires cover for an existing medical condition other than those automatically covered.
Travellers 80 years or over are required to complete the Existing Medical Condition application regardless of state of health.
If you do not tell us about an existing medical condition other than those automatically covered for you or anyone in your travelling party there is no cover for any existing medical condition. Existing Medical Conditions (EMC)
You can lodge an obligation free application for cover for high risk medical conditions online by completing the quote application for International Comprehensive, Annual Multi Trip and Australian Comprehensive travel plans.
You will be asked to enter your trip details, your name and date of birth, followed by your street address and email address.
After you have entered the trip and traveller details you will see a summary page of all travellers and you will have the option to select *Existing Medical Condition, 'Yes' or 'No' next to any of the travellers names listed. Selecting 'Yes' will open a new page where you will be asked to enter a little more information regarding the pre-existing medical condition and how it affects you.
When you have completed the online form the application will be automatically submitted and assessed by the medical underwriting team and you can expect to receive an emailed response to an online application within 24 hours during usual business periods.
If you are not comfortable completing the application on line you can contact Easy Travel Insurance and ask our representative for a Travellers Medical Appraisal Form and we can assist with completing your application. Over the phone applications can take longer to process so be sure to allow extra time for this method of securing cover for your pre-existing medical conditions.
If your application is approved you will be advised of any restrictions, conditions or excesses that may apply and you may be required to pay any additional premium.
