Packing bags for travel poses many questions. Not least what to take and what not to take? Certainly the one thing you leave at home will, without doubt, be the very thing you will end up needing the most while away.
So you have done all the hard work and you are a little longer in the tooth, you should stay at home and wait for the kids to spend your life savings? ‘Not on your Nellie!!’ Now is the time to get out there and see the world.
It’s true that as you get a little older your needs change when you travel; you are not likely to go ‘Running with the bulls’ or ‘White water rafting off Niagara Falls in an old wine barrel’ and here at Easy Travel Insurance we understand that the extra common sense that comes with life’s experience means you are not a greater risk as a traveller.
There are of course certain health issues that plague us all as we move into our later years, but most do not affect your ability to get senior travel insurance cover or even increase premiums. Many conditions are covered free of charge and more details can be found on the Easy Travel Insurance Existing Medical Cover page.
There is no age limit for Australian or International Comprehensive Travel Plans which makes them our most popular policies for Senior Travellers, however if you are a resident of Australia aged 80 years or over at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued and you wish to purchase an International Travel Plan you will be required to select 'Yes' for an existing medical condition and answer a few simple questions regarding your health. The process is obligation free, and should take no more than a minute or two, but if you have any difficulties don't forget we are always here to help.
If you are a regular traveller an Annual Multi Trip Plan could be just the thing, offering cover for unlimited, multiple trips, internationally or domestically, where each trip has a maximum duration of 60 days. Annual Multi Trip policies are available to Australian residents who are under 70 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is issued - Including domestic cover free of charge; this truly is the one for the traveller who loves to get away at home or even further afield. You can get yourself covered, enjoy your travels and we’ll let you know when it’s time to renew so you don’t even have to write a reminder in your diary!
For many Australians who call these wonderful shores their home, this was not always the case, and for their friends or relatives who want to visit from all over the world, catch up with long lost souls and enjoy the sights, the Inbound Travel Insurance policy boasts superior cover for a vast array of eventualities. Available to non-residents of Australia under 81 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued, Inbound travel plans from Easy Travel Insurance have plenty of scope for visiting your loved ones Down Under.
We are often asked to offer advice regarding which policy offers the right cover, but the best advice we can give is that you carefully examine the Product Disclosure Statement to determine which travel product meets your personal needs and situation and make an informed decision about which type of cover is right for you.
