Do you cover me if I am pregnant when I travel?

Generally, our cover automatically covers up to the 24th week of pregnancy, however if you are pregnant and want more information about cover for your pregnancy while travelling please see our Pregnancy page.

How do I add cover existing medical conditions that are not automatically covered?

To get a quote for travel insurance with cover for existing medical conditions that are not included automatically, you will need to use the ‘Get A Quote’ tab on any page at Easy Travel Insurance and begin your quote for travel cover.

You will need to begin a travel insurance quote by providing destinations, travel dates, travellers ages and adding any other options.

When you reach the section asking about the travellers details, you will be asked if you require cover for any existing medical conditions that are NOT automatically covered for each traveller. Here you will be presented with the online assessment for adding cover and you will be able to complete an assessment for any conditions requiring cover. Your assessment result and any additional premium will be shown to you onscreen.

Follow these steps to complete your assessment.

  • Enter the travel dates (the day you leave home and the day you return home) your destination(s) and the ages of all travellers that require cover.
  • You will need to select the travel plan that suits your needs, and select any options such as cruise cover, snow sports etc.
  • Enter the travellers’ details and then you will be asked if any travellers have existing medical conditions to declare, and selecting ‘Yes’ for any traveller will begin the assessment process for that traveller.
  • After you have answered the pre assessment questions you can select the ‘Start Assessment’ button and then you will be asked to enter the name/s of the medical condition/s.
  • Enter the first 3 letters of any condition and all available options will be shown.
  • Select the condition from the list and repeat to add multiple conditions.
  • Answer the multiple-choice questions as presented to you.
  • If you need to add further conditions you can repeat this process until you have entered all conditions requiring cover.

If any of your conditions require you to complete an assessment, you will also need to include all other conditions in the assessment even if they would usually be covered automatically.

You will not be required to upload any documents or doctors letters etc.

The assessment can only be completed online, and only as part of the quote process. When the assessment has been finalised, you cannot edit or go back into the assessment to add additional conditions. If you have forgotten any conditions you will need to begin the assessment again.

Any additional premiums that are required will be shown in the pricing summary onscreen.
